Wow, That’s a Good Song: Amos the Transparent, “Lemons”

This is not only a great song, but the video, done by Ottawa-based animators Digital Henchmen Studios, is pretty sweet, too.

Everyone’s out to get one another
So keep your head up, here comes the storm
Everyone wants to be loved by another
Who’ll hold their hair back as they let it out

Vocalist Jonathan Chandler reminds me at times of Greg Laswell. This is a good thing. I also enjoy their track “After all that, it’s come to this”, which features Amy Millan, but I couldn’t find it on Youtube. Go look for it, you’ll like it.

Amos the Transparent are SXSW-bound, so if you’re headed to Austin, look them up.
