Hooray for Covers! Norah Jones, “Jesus Etc.”

Somehow I missed this whenever it made the rounds on the internet in December.  I’m making up for that oversight now.

I’ve always loved Norah Jones, though her latest album didn’t quite do it for me.  Maybe that’s because I was listening to a webrip of truly terrible quality.  She’s got a truly beautiful voice, though, and manages to make this cover her own, despite how simple the arrangement is.

And, while I’m here, have this great performance of “Jesus Etc.” by Wilco, with Andrew Bird stepping in for some whistling and violin-playing.
