This Week in Great Music: 12/28 – 1/3

By Sarah on December 28, 2009

2009 is going out with a bang, because there are a whole lot of awesome shows on NYE. I won’t be at any of them, but you all should still check something out.

My plans of trying to hit an even 20 for concerts attended this year have repeatedly been thwarted by weather and exhaustion and pure laziness. Winter is kind of a dead zone for concerts for me, because it’s like as soon as I get home and get warm and cozy, I just don’t want to leave again. I’m thinking about trying to get to the Fiery Furnaces show at Schubas, though, if my visiting family is gone by then. Because if there’s anything I can’t deal with, it’s odd numbers.

I’ll be at Metro for the Kid, You’ll Move Mountains/Picture Books/Venna/Crayolala show on the 2nd.  Maybe I’ll see some of you there.
