Tonight: Johnny Flynn and the Sussex Wit at Mayne Stage

By Sarah on May 25, 2011

Looking for something to do tonight? Head on up to Rogers Park to see Johnny Flynn, a talented British singer-songwriter. He’s part of the same group of talent which has brought us Laura Marling, Mumford & Sons, and Noah and the Whale. I saw him last year at the same venue in a solo show and he was just fantastic. Looking forward to seeing him again, with a full backing band this time. The venue is absolutely beautiful, as well, and still very much a hidden gem in the Chicago concert scene. Tickets are $16 and the show kicks off at 8:30.

“Tickle Me Pink” (my footage from last time he was at Mayne Stage)

“Leftovers”

“The Water” (with Laura Marling)

“Eyeless in Holloway” (with Marcus Mumford)
