Now that I’ve found a more reliable place for you to stream my delightful mixes, I’ll be resuming my monthly mix of awesome songs.  Here’s January’s.  It’s even on time, too. Bundle up and stay warm in all this snow, my Midwestern friends. Listen to my ten songs on repeat while you watch the snow fall.

The indie music world comes to a screeching halt this weekend as Pitchfork rolls into town. Three-day tickets have been sold out for ages, so try hitting up Craigslist or something to make your way in.

Not being from Canada, I’m not exactly clued in to the musical going-ons of our gigantic neighbor to the north. But the Winnipeg Folk Festival, scheduled for July 7 through 11, is definitely something I should know about, despite the fact that it’s far away… oh, wait, Winnipeg is only a two-hour flight away. Never mind, it isn’t that far. Huh.
