[ The North Coast Music Festival is less than a week away. In the time leading up to the festival, I’m going to introduce you to some stand out songs from bands, both local and further afield, who will be making appearances during the weekend’s events. ]
Local act Loyal Divide blends a lot of genres together in their music. Part psych-pop, part electronica, all satisfying. They’ve shared bills with an eclectic roster of artists, including Crystal Castles, Chromeo, and Deadmau5. I’ve been listening to their music this morning while trying to build an Ikea end table, and while my table-building isn’t going so hot, I’m definitely sitting here, bobbing my head along in time with the beat. Check out this pretty creative video for their song “Vision Vision”, and then make it a point to see them at NCMF next weekend.
Loyal Divide will be playing two sets at Chicago’s upcoming North Coast Music Festival. Â You can see them on Saturday at 5:45 on the Magic Hat Stage, performing as hip-hop act BBU’s live band. Â And Loyal Divide plays a set of their own on Sunday at 5:00 on the Magic Hat Stage, where they will be previewing songs from an upcoming release.
The North Coast Music Festival is September 2nd – 4th in Union Park (1501 W Randolph). Â Three day passes have been sold out for a while now, but single day tickets ($50 for Friday, $60 for Saturday or Sunday) are still available.
