It looks like a quiet week, but I find myself strangely busy. I’ll be checking out the Laura Marling show tomorrow night, and Jerome Holloway’s show on Friday. I saw him open for Nneka in February and thought he was really good, so I’m looking forward to seeing what he does with a headlining spot. Saturday also has some strong line-ups of local bands, both at Bottom Lounge and at the Beat Kitchen.

A bit of a late post today; not going in to work has made my day all sorts of screwy. Â This week has a lot of good local shows, with the Gapers Block sponsored show at Metro on Friday, and then the CD release party for The Felix Culpa on Saturday. Â I’m thinking of checking […]

A quiet week, but some solid shows nonetheless. I’ll be at the Elvis Perkins/AA Bondy show on Saturdy, finally able to catch the both of them in Chicago. It’ll be my first time at Lincoln Hall (although I walked past it the other night and it looks way swanky on the outside), but I’ve got […]
