Wow, That’s a Good Song: Dan Mangan, “Road Regrets”
Apparently this is my time for Discovering Music I Shamefully Missed Out On. “Road Regrets” is a strong opener to Dan Mangan’s 2009 album, Nice, Nice, Very Nice, and it just gets better from there. Also, I’m a sucker for animated videos of any sort.

Add fun.’s Aim and Ignite to the list of albums I really should have listened to earlier. Not sure how I missed out on hearing this when it was released, but I’ve rectified that situation now, and am fully in love.
Album Review: Mavis Staples, “You Are Not Alone”
The first review I wrote of Mavis Staples’s new album, You Are Not Alone, wasn’t wholly positive. The problems I see with the album are still there on the seventh or eighth listen, but they’re not bothering me as much as they did last week.

I am super excited about Chris Pureka’s show at SPACE on Wednesday. How I Learned to See in the Dark is one of my favorite albums of 2010 so far, and I’m sure the live show will be great.
